Do you feel passionate about making a difference? Have you thought about a rewarding career supporting young people with learning disabilities? Transition Service could be perfect for you.

We provide care and support for young people living away from home for the first time. We work in partnership with the people we support, their families, and alongside Chichester College and other organisations involved in their lives. We promote independence and support the progression and development of the young people we work with to enhance their living skills.

We aim to provide a safe, supportive & welcoming home where young people who have a learning disability and emotional needs can develop their self-esteem, confidence, resilience and life skills for adulthood.

We are recruiting support workers to be part of this innovative service. Your role will be to support people in their homes to develop their independence and embed the life skills they are learning at college, and to safely live the lives they choose, while developing their own independence.

You will work as part of a team, on rota supporting people at home and in the community. Shifts will include early mornings, late shifts, and sleep-ins.

No previous experience of working with people with learning disabilities or autism is needed, but an interest in social care and working with young adults is a definite must!

Aldingbourne Trust offer a competitive benefits package to all of our staff, including discounted gym memberships at a variety of leisure centres, free entry to the Aldingbourne Country Centre, Life Assurance, pension, cycle to work scheme, Employee Assistance programme and so much more!

If you are interested but would like to know more then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
